Rukmani arangam at Kalaksthera is a naturally ventilated performance space for classical dances. Since the hall is naturally ventilated, we did not add any absorptive panels, the Cane furniture and stone walls added to the liveliness of the hall. The proportion of the hall is as per Natyasthram that perfectly goes with good room ratios. Here greater care is given in selection of sound systems, lighting layouts, stage flooring to enhance footsteps sounds (thalam) which is the basics for classical dances like brathanatyam and Kuchipudi, stage curtains etc.
