A sensitive acoustic approach for a traditional classical dance hall, preserving its natural ventilation, aesthetics, and cultural identity.

The hall already had strong traditional character, so the acoustic strategy avoided aggressive intervention. The side openings act as natural absorptive zones, while the rear stone wall helps diffuse sound. Stage screens also contribute to absorption without changing the appearance of the space.

Speaker selection and placement were planned to focus sound toward the audience area. Cane seating was suggested to maintain the traditional visual language while also helping with low-frequency absorption.
