IIT Mandi – Multimodal Speech Anechoic Chamber and AI Capture Facility
A specialised speech anechoic chamber and multimodal capture room designed, built, and validated for AI voice research, speech recognition, and acoustic data capture.
The facility was developed for artificial intelligence, machine learning, speech recognition, voice analysis, multimodal recording, and human-computer interaction research. The design required a highly controlled acoustic environment where speech could be captured with minimal interference from external noise, room reflections, and background sound.
The chamber includes room-in-room construction, high sound isolation, controlled absorption, acoustic doors, sound-lock planning, and low-noise service coordination. It supports clean speech data collection, AI voice datasets, acoustic research, and advanced multimodal experiments.
