D Acoustics is a Chennai based company in Tamilnadu, India is an Architectural Acoustical Consultant and turnkey soultion provider in the fields of Building Acoustics , Noise control and Noise mapping. Earlier D acoustics team was working under our group organization Mak Architects taking care of Building Acoustics division. As the number of Acoustics projects increased Building Acoustics division is separated from Mak Architects and D Acoustics is emerged.

Mr.R.Ravichandran
D Acoustics is founded by Mr.R.Ravichandran a post graduate engineer from C.E.G, Chennai, Anna University. He has rich experience in sales and Business Development for Indian and Multinational Engineering companies. He takes care of strategic business development of D Acoustics.
Principal Acoustic Consultant
Dr.R. Kalaiselvi
The technical team is headed by Dr.R. Kalaiselvi did her PhD in IIT, Madras in the field of Acoustics .
Dr.R.Kalaiselvi is an architect and acoustic consultant, ‘’ a member of Acoustical society of India and Acoustical society of America’’. She did her Architecture from Periyar Maniammani university and MS & PhD from IIT-Madras from Building technology and construction management division. Her research interest is towards Architectural and Environmental acoustics, She has published more than 25 papers and filed two patents in the field of acoustics, noise control and product design. She also won young scientist award from International commission of Acoustics for excellent contribution in the field of Acoustics, in the mega Acoustic event held at Sydney convention center. She also won Best paper awards for two consecutive years from Madras India regional chapter of Acoustical society of America. She is principal acoustical consultant for D-Acoustics, She has worked on numerous acoustical consultancy projects ranging from recording studios to Large scale auditorium projects. To name a few projects – NPTEL – Recording studios at IIT-Madras, CLRI – Triple Helix Auditorium, South Indian Film Federation Auditorium, Indian Maritime University Auditorium etc., Further, She designed and implemented Audiology rooms for NIEPMD – National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities this facility is first of this kind in India
Projects
Our Dr.R. Kalaiselvi completed many Acoustical consultancy projects such as Auditorium , Performing Art centre ,Church , NPTEL Class room, , Audimetric room ,Home theatre, Noise Audit and noise reduction. We have the capability to design multiplex and cinema theater. We could also do Noise mapping for traffic and industry.

Mr.Stephen Raj holds post graduate engineering degree from C.E.G, Chennai, Anna University.He is strong in understanding engineering concepts and has a passion for teaching and music.
